Food grade resin (certified)

ALBICOAT CL food grade resin product has been tested over the years in many applications both in Italy and abroad (Chile,
USA , France ) and was developed without aromatic amines (derived from Bisphenol F ) and phthalates and nonylphenol.

Moreover all raw materials are included in the positive lists of substances which are allowed and provided by European and Italian standard.
ALBICOAT CL also meets the limitations and restrictions provided by the regulations as they relate to the use and nature of migration of the compounds and epoxy derivatives ( BADGE, BFDGE and NOGE ) in toxicological risk, due to their possible migration into food.
It complies with Ministerial Decree dated 21/03/73 (Hygiene discipline of packaging , containers and equipments which come into contact with food or with substances for personal use ) , and subsequent modifications (transposition of 82/711/EEC , 85/572/EEC , 90/128/EEC and subsequent amendments , 2002/72/EEC ) and for all substances for which there is the migration tests with simulants 3% acetic acid water-borne solution at 10% teanolo i.e. wine, beer, olive oil and vegetable in general, drinking water , cereal, etc.
The overall migration tests were carried out under the conditions of time, temperature and simulant liquid indicated according to the Ministerial Decree dated 21.03.73 and subsequent modifications (see Article 6 of Regulation EC No. 1935/2004) , and gave a favorable outcome as the analytical value found is lower than the legal limit .
The spectrophotometric scanning of simulant liquids ( according to the Ministerial Decree dated 21/03/73 and subsequent modifications) has an optical transmission not less than 95 % compared to the base line , and then the material does not present migration of coloring.
Finally, according to the specific migration testing will comply with the limits set out by current legislation (Ministerial Decree dated 21.03.73 and subsequent modifications) BADGE and its derivatives: EC Regulation 1895/2005 lays down the specific migration limit for the sum of BADGE, BADGE . H2O and BADGE.2H2O and for the sum of BADGE.HCI , BADGE.2HCI and BADGE.H2O.HCI .
The Regulation also prohibits the use of BFDGE and NOGE .
In conclusion, the food grade resin, under the tested conditions, is suitable for direct contact with food and also respects the organoleptic features of the food.
